A new event from Pitch Black on Feb. 27th that showcases the culinary genius of Black folks. Pitch Black Food features 6 food makers creating dishes and drinks for 100 attendees, who will celebrate and vote on their favorites of the night.  

Attending

This is a gathering unlike any other. Come experience 6 Black culinary experts showing off their best work for your taste buds. Each dish or drink will be presented by each chef and voted on by you and the 99 other attendees. The chef with the most votes takes home the nights biggest prize.

    We'll gather @ 6:30pm at The Redd in SE Portland for an evening of food and celebration.

Pitching

Applications are open for Pitch Black Food pitches. Pitch your best dish, drink, appetizer, and dessert. Applications will be reviewed by the Pitch Black team and will be selected by January 24th 2025

Pitch Details

  • Kitchen

    Access to a full commercial kitchen and culinary prep helpers.

  • Materials

    $1,000 will given to each pitcher for ingredients and prep items.

  • Pitching

    You'll share a short background on you and what you're prepared with attendees.

  • Applying

    Will be open from January 6th - 17th 2025.

  • Selections

    Selections for pitchers will be made on January 24th 2025
